I’m going to be traveling all over Spain, from north to south and then to Portugal, for around three weeks, looking for a place to buy a flat. Would it be cheaper / more practical to drive the whole way, or to fly and then take public transport long distances, and rent cars occasionally?
If you drive your own car you will be sitting on the right and driving on the right. You may prefer to take advantage of low airfares and rent a car in Spain for that reason. But if you are comfortable with your car on the continent, look into the cost of the the Plymouth-Santander ferry. At the right time of year an advance booking could be a good deal………….
