i need to rent a car from denver airport in mid-august, but can’t see spending over 300 for 4 days. that’s ridiculous. i used to have no problem finding coupons online but don’t seem to be having any luck and the ones i do are not valid for summer? any helpful tips or ideas??? 10 pts most helpful answer!!!
Try hotwire.com – but gotta tell you even just walking up to a counter at the last min – I’ve NEVER paid 300/day for 4 days. But I did just go online for mid august and see that their rates are quite high –
I even tried doing a week to see if that would bring the price down as I’ve done that before –
Not too sure what’s going on there. Go on priceline and bid $20.00 a day for the time you will be there and see what you get.

Rental price anywhere I have ever rented a car[ small to mid-sized average car] is usually about 30 dollars per day plus some taxes. Should not be more than 40 a day after all add-ons. Next time you call tell them that you arent a stupid old lady and want the normal price. Some places prey on the elderly but you have to act like you know what you are talking about. Call at least 3 places so you do know what you are talking about. If you have a car at home you are probably covered on rentals as well, call your insurance company to see if you are covered on rentals.

If you have AAA or AARP cards, there are some good discounts. Also check your credit cards. We have used discount coupons from some of our cards, but I don’t remember which ones. AmEx???

You have to take what you can get…….I’m CHEAP and I had to settle for $60.00 per day…..4 days & 12 hours……..554.83 total…..that’s the best I could do for a MId Size…..Spent two weeks in Branson and got a SUV for $9.00 a day……..I hit every site on the net……if you need a ride you gotta pay in Denver…..Price Line would not accept anything under 60……..my traveling friends say this is the peak season in Denver…….pay…..or cab it………the airport is way out of town.

I know what you mean especially with the economy as it is. It seems impossible to find any deals out there. However, I have the solution for your needs. Hotwire.com has deals on their rental cars for as low as $13.95 with no hidden fees.
For more great deals I would suggest checking out Qmania.com it is a great way to battle the recession that we are facing.
Good luck, Cherise
