Question about renting a car from Hertz in Las Vegas??

Posted by admin on March 19th, 2010 and filed under hertz rent a car | 3 Comments »

I am thinking about going to Las Vegas soon to take a tour of a school. I am 21 years old and I would like to rent a car from Hertz. On Hertz’s website it says they will rent to people 21 years old with an additional Age Differential Charge. Anybody have any idea how much extra this is going to cost me? I don’t know if this matters but I do have a current Colorado drivers license, insurance on my own car, and a perfect driving record.

Thanks for any comments.

Depending on the school location and your other plans it maybe cheaper to use public transportation.

The cost of the rental + Age Differential Charge + Gas it may be quite expensive.

Hertz is the most expensive car rental agency. If I were you, I’d check out Dollar or Enterprise Car Rentals. They both rent to people under 25 but they probably will charge a little more. However, still a LOT cheaper than Hertz.

Your best bet would be to call Hertz directly to see. But in the past when I was younger than 25 there was a usually up to a $25 per day fee for being under 25 years old. I couldn’t find anything on their website other than there will be a fee for being under 25. With a company like Hertz it may be a higher fee than if you went to Dollar or Thriffty.
