Walking across the border and renting a car in Tijuana?

Posted by admin on June 16th, 2010 and filed under renting a car | 3 Comments »

I am considering a trip to Rosarito and for several reasons I did not want to drive my car across the border. I have been considering just driving it to the border, walking across and renting a car in TJ to continue on to Rosarito. Is this a terrible idea? I was hoping there would be some sort of car rental place close to the border but everything I see is near the airport. Has anybody done this?

You can probably get a shuttle bus right at the border to take you to the airport to get a rental car, or they may even bring the rental car to you at the border, something you could definitely talk to the car rental company about before you go. Most car rental places are at/near the airports in MX. Sounds like a good plan to me though! Have a fun trip!

What is the typical rate for renting a car and driver for two people for prom?

Posted by admin on May 16th, 2010 and filed under renting a car | 1 Comment »

I don’t need a large limo; I just need a nice car to escort two people.

First off you will need to be 21 or 25, depending on your state to even rent a car. So you will need to talk to your parents about renting a vehicle and you can get online and go to the websites to find out prices. You’d be better off borrowing a parents car and that way you’ll be covered under there insurance, if something happens to the rental while you are driving then your parents are liable and your not covered.

I rented a car an hit a deer and didn’t take the company insurance?

Posted by admin on May 13th, 2010 and filed under renting a car | 7 Comments »

I hit a deer in Ohio with a rental car and didn’t take the company insurance nor have an personal insure. So now the insurance company wants to charge like 5000 and i have no money. I am a student and don’t know what to do exactly.

More fool you then.
You had an accident, you didn’t have insurance. Tough, they will chase you for the money and you will have to pay.
