I have an international driving liesne BUT i am a student, can i rent a car in Germany. cause heared that they don’t rent cars for students.

In Germany, you need to be 18 years old to get a driver’s license. You normally have to pass a lot of written and practical tests to get a German drivers license. (Fuhrerschein). Rental car companies normally do not rent cars to persons under 25 years of age. Insurance coverage is normally a big problem. Contact Triple A (AAA) in the US to see if they have a way to provide you with insurance while you are in Germany.

Rent car to an 18 year old after an accident?

I was in a car accident last weekend. The driver rear ended me and completely totaled my car. My insurance agent mentioned something about them providing me with a rental until I find a new car, but I’m 18 so I don’t know how that would work because you have to be 25 to rent a car. Do they disregard that rule for this kind of circumstance?
I would call my agent, but he’s out for the weekend and I need to know now if I should book a flight for Thanksgiving.

yes they should rent to you. remember it is not your fault that they hit you. tell your agent monday morning that you need them to get you a car and they will call you back and tell you what rental company to go to.

I got a contract job for only 3 months in another state where I have to have a car to get around. But I cannot afford to buy one now. So I am thinking about to lease or rent a car for two or three months. What is the best option for me? Should I go to car rent company like enterprise or to car dealer? How much is it going to cost?

How much it will cost depends on size car you get and how long you have it. Three months will be a different charge than a day by day charge. You will need to rent, I don’t believe you can lease for three month, but if you can you can be assured the payents will be very high. Check out maybe buying a cheap car and then selling it when no longer needed… don’t think it would be but in your case may be cheaper.

Think it would difficult for you to find one for you as most of the car rental companies don’t keep such kind of cars. So you need top ask very specific sort of rental car companies like exotic car hire as their are more chance of you getting your desired car there.

I have heard that most companies do not rent cars to people younger than 21, but also have heard that if you are part of a company they will make an exception, with of course a higher rate.. is this true?
I’m part of my dads company, and I appear as co-owner.

Not entirely sure about Virginia specifically, but there definitely are a few (nationwide) companies that will rent to 18 year-olds. One example is E-Z Rent-a-Car…they have a very generous underage rental policy. Check them out.

Such kind of rental cars are not available at every car rental company. There are very specific car rental companies that offer luxury cars. So make your search more specific target those companies that offer cars on weddings or other special occasions like valentines, prom etc.

We want to drive from London to Stonehenge. Is there a good place to rent a car right outside London but on/near the tube line? We prefer not to have to drive in London if possible.

I know Sixt have a branch at Vauxhall which is convenient for getting out of London. There may be more near your location.
