Always cheaper to book ahead. The airport is usually the most expensive place to rent a car. Better is to rent in town. Use the airline shuttle to your hotel then ask at the desk. Ignore what they tell you as they will advise the company that pays the highest commission. Now go into town and book direct. You can use the internet to find the best rates.
