Cheap car rental in Florida.?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under rent a car coupons | 3 Comments »

I am flying into Sarasota/Bradenton on Saturday July 21 and coming back the following Saturday. I want to rent a car at the airport for the whole week and I am getting prices that are kind of insane. Anybody know of anyway to get any cheaper rates…even priceline was denying every price I put in. Anybody have any coupon codes or anything!!!!

Rental charges have shot up in the past two years. Try Enterprise or Alamo. They are generally the lowest cost.

renting car parking space in amsterdam?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under renting a car | 3 Comments »

Hi, I am moving to Amsterdam by car next month and it appears to be extremly expensive to park your car there (E17 per night) Does anyone know a place i can find car park renting on net, or know anywhere to park car? All help apprecitated!
Hi, I am actually coming from France by car so i need a place for a few months, as i will sell my car later on in the year, so i need somewhere to leave a car for long periods of time!

As soon as you have an address, depending on which neighborhood you’re in, you can probably apply for a "resident-parking"-card… You pay a certain amount of money every month or every year, and you won’t have to pay for parking "at home" anymore, other than that fixed fee of course… Other than that… No, parking in Amsterdam is just VERY expensive and it’s not something that’s a problem just for you. I suggest contacting the city of Amsterdam parking department as soon as you get an address, or selling your car and buying a bicycle as soon as you arrive…

You could of course try to find a free parking space somewhere, but if your car is not very new and you leave it there, there’s a chance they will tow it away, if they think it might be an abandoned wreck. No offense, I don’t know what kind of car you have… If it IS new, then prepare for it not having a radio anymore the next time you visit it…

I’ll be 24 when I take a trip to new york city and I want to rent car, will my age for renting be a problem?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under rent a car | 7 Comments »

I heard that I need to be 25 if I really want to pay the regular price. But isn’t there anyone who lets u rent a car under 25 yrs. ?

Generally you do need to be 25, but NY is different. In NY, the rental companies are required to rent to you if you are at least 18. You’ll be assessed an extra insurance fee when you rent in NY if you’re under 25. The surcharge varies from company to company so shop around for the best overall deal.

If you’re going to the city, you may want to think twice about renting a car though. Rates are very high and parking charges will crucify you. I’ve paid over $25.00 for a few hours in Lower Manhattan, and over $50.00 a day in Midtown. The subway is MUCH safer than it used to be and even taking taxis will usually cost less than a rental car.

Is it easier/cheaper to rent a car from Melbourne airport or from around town?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under airport rent a car | 4 Comments »

Kinda need a car to drive around the surburbs for the time I am here, thanks :) [I don't take rides :P ]

It depends which airport your arriving at.
If you are arriving at melb international, I would reccommend looking in the yellow pages and spending 10 mins on the phone getting quotes. This is becasue the airport isn’t that far from town (25 ks) and a taxi won’t cost you too much to get to your rental, and there are also bus services that are even cheaper.

However, if you are flying Jetstar and are arriving at Avalon, DEFINETLY get a car from the airport as your about 1.5 hours out of Melb (and they have a few different companies to choose from)

Here are some helpfull websites.

have you ever bought a used car from a rental car company such as Hertz or Enterprise rent-a-car?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under hertz rent a car | 3 Comments »

their prices seem to be a little below dealers prices and there is not the uncertainty of buying from a private party? anyone use them? what were your impressions?

You can usually get good deals on used cars from the rental places, and they’re pretty trustworthy. In my experience, the problem is finding a former rental car worth buying. Most of them are pretty boring.
